About Edinburgh Albums
Edinburgh Albums is a cultural storytelling platform that brings together projects exploring place, memory, and how people connect with cities — through walking experiences, visual storytelling, and conversation.
Under the Edinburgh Albums umbrella, we develop and host a small number of focused projects, each with its own voice, audience, and community.
Our projects
Edinburgh Animal Trail
A family-friendly walking experience designed to help children and adults explore Edinburgh through its animal sculptures, carvings, and symbols.
The Trail combines observation, storytelling, and local creativity, encouraging slower, more attentive ways of experiencing the city.
Edinburgh Albums
A growing collection of digital storytelling albums exploring Edinburgh through photography, architecture, craft, and everyday detail.
Created in collaboration with local creatives, these albums allow visitors to take a piece of the city home with them.
In Conversation with Tourists
A podcast series exploring how tourism is changing — from motivations and expectations to satisfaction, memory, and belonging.
Featuring guests from around the world, the podcast looks at what it means to travel thoughtfully in a fast-moving world.
Working together
Edinburgh Albums is built around collaboration. We work with:
-
local creatives and photographers
-
cultural organisations and museums
-
educators, charities, and social enterprises
-
partners interested in accessible, place-based storytelling
This page will grow over time to include the organisations and communities we collaborate with.
If you’re interested in working together, we’re always happy to start a conversation.
